Description

NASA/MSFC has a requirement for American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code Tube pressure vessels with an individual maximum volume of approximately 60 cubic feet (water volume) in a stacked set of 6 configuration to be delivered to MSFC where they will be unloaded by onsite personnel.

NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the ASME Code Tube pressure vessels with a total individual maximum volume of approximately 60 cubic feet from FIBA TECHNOLOGIES, INC. These vessels are configured in 6-pack design with a combined total water volume of approximately 350 cubic feet. NASA intends to purchase three of these 6-pack configurations on this procurement. The foundations were built based on the drawings of the vessels that were installed in 2017 purchased by FIBA Technologies. The additional vessels must match the vessels purchased in 2017. This decision is made pursuant to FAR subpart 13.5(a)(1)(ii) in accordance with 41 U.S.C.1901. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Stephanie Darnell, Contract Specialist, Email: stephanie.darnell@nasa.gov not later than 3p.m. CST on February 7, 2024.

Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at : https://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/regs/Procurement-Ombuds-Comp-Advocate-Listing.pdf
