NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement for the acquisition of Wind River VxWorks software Licenses, Support and Maintenance. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to procurement on a sole-source basis from USI Electronics, which is an authorized Wind River distributor. The following Wind River software licenses and maintenance will be procured for one (1) year as follows:
Wind River – VxWorks 7 Project License
Wind River – VxWorks 21.11 and Perpetual Licenses
Wind River VxWorks 21.11 and Perpetual Node Locked Licenses
Wind River – Support and Maintenance of the VxWorks software
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
The Wind River VxWorks software will be used for the development of the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) flight software design.
Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to artra.c.thompson@nasa.gov or wade.s.amis@nasa.gov no later 3:00pm CST on November 21, 2023. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
