Seeking approximately 15,000 s.f. of rentable Office Space (with warehouse and conference room space) within a 20-mile radius of UAB Hospital Facilities. The following special space requirements are noted below:
2.1 provide fully furnished, climate-controlled office space for up to 20 staff/cadre IAW above reference standards. This should be a mix of open office space and individual office space of sufficient size and privacy to provide for student counseling sessions, one-on-one instructor training, and seating for two.
2.2. provide two large classrooms, at least 900 sq ft each, that able to accommodate up to 30 people in each classroom.
2.3. provide an open floor space of at least 900 sq ft, separate from any other space, that is amenable to virtual-reality training with smooth floor and no obstacles that would preclude safe movement.
2.4. provide at least two large medical simulation rooms, each at least 400 sq ft in size.
2.5. provide the ability to have four to five unfurnished rooms amenable to prolonged casualty care training, each accommodating 6-8 trainees/observer cadre per room in a soundproof, isolated setting from other teams (approximately 3,000-4,000 sq ft in total).
2.6. provide a separately secured storage space of at least 2,500 sq ft that is climate/temperature/humidity controlled to maintain sensitive medical/military training equipment.
2.7. provide a space for a student lounge area, approximately 125 sq ft.
2.8. provide access to multiple, furnished large conference rooms with audiovisual/display capability that would allow hosting of meetings and events for up to 100 people.
2.9. provide 24-hour availability for gender-specific showers and locker space for up to 30 individuals to store their personal belongings.
2.10. provide access to a same-level loading dock near secured storage area.
2.11. provide access to secured parking for 10-20 vehicles on a regular basis, and up to 100 vehicles for special events.
2.12. provide the ability to perform outdoor military medical training with no public access or visibility.
2.13. provide the provision of high-speed, commercial grade internet and phone lines with the possibility for installation of unclassified military network access pending Command approval.
2.14. provide option for custodial services for routine cleaning and trash removal.
2.15. provide the capability to provide on-site meals at Federal per diem rate with boxed-meal preparation availability when training times conflict with normal hours of operation.
2.16. provide a location within one mile of a grocery store and a hotel to support TDY students.
2.17. provide a secured, controlled access facility with 24-hour availability for students and staff.
