The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL hereby gives NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE to Patterson Pope, Inc. to provide Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) with Spacesaver Mobile Shelving Upgrade in accordance with (IAW) the attached Statement of Objectives (SOO).

Brief Description of Requirement: The contractor shall provide upgrades to the first and third floor stacks to include: new face panel controls, photosweep, control boxes, and wiring to aid the Accessions Division’s ability to perform stack management at AFHRA IAW the attached SOO. These stacks hold thousands of books and documents used daily by archivists as authoritative sources to answer inquiries some of which are time sensitive. These documents are used to provide the White House, Congress, HQ Air Force leadership, other Government departments, and veterans seeking documents to support claims to the Veterans Administration. The Spacesaver brand mobile shelving system is currently in use. The Agency has future needs in using the same mobile shelving system to quickly locate relevant texts for Air University faculty, students, and the aforementioned agencies.

There will be no written solicitation issued. This is an intent to purchase a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this RFQ, contractors MUST BE REGISTERED and ACTIVE in the DoD Systems for Award Management (SAM) database at time of quotation submission, no exceptions. Those capable of meeting the requirement IAW the SOO are requested to provide the following information in their response:

1) Current capability that demonstrates your company's ability to meet the requirements as outlined in the attached SOO.
