GENERAL INFORMATION: The Defense Logistics Agency, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama is looking to procure a POWER SUPPLY; NSN: 6130-01-577-6009, Part Number: 11481978, in support of the M-D6-PATRIOT weapon system. Manufacture of this part requires special test and/or inspection facilities to determine and maintain ultra-precision quality for its function or system integrity.

The Government intends on awarding one firm fixed contract resulting from this solicitation. This is an unrestricted procurement limited to the following companies:

The manufacturing of this part requires special test and/or inspection facilities to determine and maintain ultra-precision quality for Its function or system integrity. Substantiation and inspection of the precision or quality cannot be accomplished without such Specialized test or inspection facilities. Only the source(s) indicated on this announcement has access to these facilities/equipment and the Government cannot provide access to any other source. No other part can be substituted for this item. There are no current efforts to remove the requirement for special test and/or inspection facilities for this part.

All contractors must meet prequalification requirements to be registered as a potential source. Firms that possess the ability and can produce the required item(s) described above are encouraged to identify themselves. The contractor shall be capable of successfully performing and complying with all special requirements in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation annotated above, at the unit prices established at time of a contract award.
